Selection Criteria

  1. To be eligible for this Citation the individual must:

    • hold a degree in Technology Education (Industrial Arts).

    • have 10 years of full time service in the profession.
      have been a member of TEEAP and the Council for 3 consecutive years.

    • be a person who displays exemplary leadership in the profession.

    • be a person active in the improvement and advancement of technology education at the local
      and state level.

    • Not be a prior recipient of this Citation

Time Line for Nominations and Awards

Selection will be made by the Council Selection Committee consisting of the Council President, Council President Elect, Council Immediate Past President, and the Recipients of the past to years Citations.

  1. On or prior to October 10, the final selection process should be completed. The final selection will
    be made through consensus of the 5 voting members of the Selection Committee utilizing e-mail and or conference communication technology. The Selection Facilitator will have the final responsibility for this process.

  2. While the recipient of this citation is only announced at the conference, the attendance of the individual at the meeting must be assured. This will be the responsibility of the Selection Facilitator and/or the individual making the nomination.

  3. The President of the Council and/or the member of the Selection Committee who initiated the nomination will present the citation to the recipient during the Council's General Session.

  4. Subsequent to the awarding of the citation, a follow-up letter to the recipient's chief school administrator will be sent by the President of the Council providing information concerning the award and encourage the school district to handle the PR through the local news media.

  5. The school district is encouraged to handle the public relations with their local newspapers. If the local district cannot handle this activity, please contact the TEEAP Public Relations chair either by phone, email, or use the Online PR Form.
