Welcome to the October "Pre-Conference" edition of TEAP-Online Newsletter! This Newsletter does contain some conference information, but be sure to check out our website for specific details concerning Special Interest Sessions and Speakers! Wanted: Tech Showcase Participants!

Thursday afternoon. This is a low-key, easy way to
swap ideas with others. It will take place on
Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at 1:00 PM and concluding at
4:30. Should you know of someone that might be
interested please direct them to our website for
information! We are looking forward to hearing from
individuals like you, who do a great job with
activities that are innovative, fun and rewarding.

On another note, all of the details concerning this years TEAP Conference are now available on our website at www.teap-online.org/conference. Just a reminder, Pre-Conference Registration ended on October 22nd, if you are still interested, please feel free to register on site at a cost of $45.00 in addition to membership fees if you are not currently up to date on your membership. Please be aware we are not able to take credit cards so please come prepared with either cash or check! See you at the conference! Coming Soon.... The New TEAP-Online Version 3.0! The new TEAP-Online is currently in the test phases, and should be ready for a public launch by the middle to end of November. This site will include a great deal of new information such as information concerning Grants and Scholarships and Professional Development as well as a more interactive and easy to use navigation system. The new website will also include a search feature providing the ability to search the entire site for the information you are seeking! If you would like to learn more about the process undertaken to redesign and refurbish our association website, as well as get a sneak peek at the future of our associations home on the web, be sure to attend Thursday's Special Interest Session "Sneak Peek: TEAP Webpage V3.0" in the Senate Board room at 1:00pm. TEAP Connections E-Mentoring Program TEAP Connections (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TEAP-Connections) is a new initiative of the Technology Education Association of Pennsylvania to provide mentors for new and future technology educators. If you are a new teacher, or know someone who is interested in becoming a Technology Educator in the future who is seeking advice from experienced teachers in the field, please consider joining this group! Actor-lab was designed to make the teaching of
control technology possible in classroom settings
where, after a general introduction by the teacher,
year 5-7 children work by themselves in small groups
with only peer support. There is a version for both
Mac OS 9 and X as well as PC.
